CONTRAST represented at TREC Symposium 2025

Aourell Mauffret and Nicolas Briant presented at the second TREC Symposium in Heidelberg, Germany (1-3 December 2024). They participated in the session 'Towards planetary Environmental Profiling' to present the first results obtained as part of CONTRAST T5.1.
Aourell presented the T5.1 objectives and preliminary results on PCB, PAH and PFAS in European coastal sediment. Her presentation was called ‘Contamination map of European coastal sediments'.
Nicolas presented the metals levels in sediment and soil along several land sea continuum. His presentation was called ‘Metal concentrations in European soils and sediments: exploring the land-sea connectivity'.
Lilian Gréau had the chance to meet the large and enthusiastic TREC team and especially with great colleagues working on contaminants in water and biodiversity in sediment. This will be of great help for his post-doctorate.
Javier Castro Jimenez and Raffaele Siano presented to a parallel session, on Paleocore Studies, which will be of great interest to the surface sediment analysed in CONTRAST.
