CONTRAST Featured in EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters” Immersive Web Experience

The CONTRAST project, led by NIVA, is now part of the newly launched immersive web experience developed under the EU Mission Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030. The interactive platform invites visitors to explore the Mission’s goals, community projects, and the people working to restore Europe’s marine and freshwater environments.

Through this digital journey, users can:

• Learn about the Mission’s three core goals:
      ▪️ Reduce pollution
      ▪️ Increase protection
      ▪️ Promote sustainable economic practices
• Explore initiatives across Europe’s marine and river basins, including the Mediterranean and North Sea, where CONTRAST is working to implement smart approaches for integrated monitoring which will contribute to restoring marine ecosystems     through cooperation, innovation, and digital tools such as the Digital Twin Ocean.

• Discover projects funded under the Mission umbrella, such as PREP4BLUE, which enabled the creation of this web experience.

This action aims to expand public understanding, highlight the many projects working together, and inspire individual actions—reminding us that even small steps make a difference.
