CONTRAST at VLIZ Marine Science Day 2026

← Back

The CONTRAST project will be presented at the VLIZ Marine Science Day 2026, one of the key annual events bringing together the marine science community in Flanders and beyond.

Date: Wednesday, 4 March 2026
Location: De Grote Post, Ostend, Belgium

During the event, Putu Yolanda Yulikayani will deliver a 5‑minute pitch presentation entitled:

Advancing Marine Chemical Monitoring: Hazard‑Based Selection of Contaminants of Emerging Concern Using the CONTRAST Prioritisation Tool

The presentation will introduce the CONTRAST prioritisation tool, developed to support the selection of chemical contaminants for investigation within the project. This hazard‑based approach contributes to advancing knowledge on less‑studied contaminants of emerging concern and aims to strengthen the scientific basis for policy‑relevant marine chemical monitoring.

The VLIZ Marine Science Day provides an important platform for:

  • Exchanging knowledge on marine and coastal research
  • Connecting researchers, stakeholders, and policymakers
  • Exploring collaboration opportunities at national and international levels

Participation in VLIZ Marine Science Day 2026 offers an opportunity to present CONTRAST research outcomes, engage with the broader marine science community, and foster dialogue on innovative approaches to marine chemical monitoring
